Relationship to Diabetes

Can anyone send me details of any local support groups that meet in the Bournemouth area?
 
Diagnosed in 1993.
Followed that link and it told me nothing relating to the Bournemouth area. Closest was Wimborne.....

The Diabetes UK groups can be a bit hit and miss. Some are well-attended, others tend to disappear through lack of interest, unfortunately, or are more geared up to older Type 2s. Our forum does have meetings up and down the country which people travel to, but it's not a regular meeting in a regular place. If there's nothing local to you, have you thought about setting one up? Diabetes UK will provide you with some support and there are a few of our members (that I know of) who live in the Bournemouth area. Or have you asked at your clinic? They might know of a group or might be able to canvass opinion on setting one up from their other patients. 🙂
