Depending where you are these will be for various levels within your local or county council, or your police commissioner. I can only vote for the police commissioner. The person who has held the post for the past 12 years is standing done and I will not be voting for his replacement but for one representing another political party. Why? Firstly there have been endless sound bites like "more police visibility", etc. but very little seems to have been achieved! The biggest failure on his watch was that a police investigation into the use of sedation, and physical, mental and sexual abuse in a now closed mental hospital resulted in no charges. Hopefully there will be a change and the case reopened with police from a different area.
