Living with Type 2 Diabetes

Hi everyone!

I have been living with type 2 diabetes for about three years. I started out using metformin only but then went on a GLP-1. I am currently on Ozempic which has helped somewhat, but I'm still having some challenges with blood sugar control. It helps reduce my appetite, making it easier to follow a low-carb diet. I walk every day. I seem to have trouble staying low all day and my blood sugars are so unpredictable. Despite being on Ozempic, I still get evening cravings that lead to sugar binges. I try to stay informed about my condition and want to learn as much as possible about managing this disease and hear about others' experiences, especially with Ozempic.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

Hi @MariMar302 and welcome to the forum from the USA. We are a UK based forum and welcome visitors from abroad, we just have to bear in mind that medical systems vary and that sometimes needs to be taken into account.

Can you tell us a little more about yourself? Such things as your HbA1c and the sort of blood glucose levels you are getting during the day. Diabetes is such a variable feast and it would help members to focus on things that might be helpful to you.

Hi @MariMar302 and a very warm welcome from me 🙂 . There are lots of friendly T2 members who can hopefully provide some advice.
