Emma Louise's eyes got big and a giant smile came on her face when she first saw her new puppy.
The black Labrador puppy will be more than just the 7-year-old Liverpool girl?s new best friend, she could potentially be her lifesaver.
Emma has Type 1 diabetes, which causes her to have dangerous drops and spikes in her blood sugar. Angel, a black Labrador puppy, is a diabetic alert that can sense dangerous highs and lows in Emma?s blood sugar up to 40 minutes before Emma experiences any symptoms. The family welcomed Angel into their home this morning.
