Still quite new to all this diabetes stuff (as some of you know).
Been on metformin 500x2 and gliclazide 80x1 for about a month now.
using the app that connects to my blood glucose monitor it says my 14 day average is 8.6, 8.6 before meal, 8.9 after. standard deviation 1.6.
now I know what the numbers mean as presented but what do they mean in real terms? ive cut carbs to about 130g a day and I'm starting to see exactly what foods make me spike up to 10 or 1.
what I'm asking is, what do I do next? reduce carbs even more? get metformin increased? what should I be aiming for blood glucose wise?
obviously I should be asking the diabetic nurse this but ive yet to meet her as my surgery is a bit slow and I'm having to chase everything up myself
