The bloke upstairs with the white beard has given me depression and diabetes . I HAVE to keep hydrated but absolutely hate drinking plain water . Until my blood tests I would dilute orange or blackcurrant squash with water , using the plain orange squash from tesco etc

Are these going to affect my sugar levels much ? I have to drink about 2 pints a day , 3 if exercising

This is not orange juice , which I know is packed with sugar

Even squashes which are no added sugar can be quite high in carbs so you should be careful of how much you have.
I like the flavoured sparkling water but you can also get the still version but it has to be cold.

Thanks , I have no choice being on lithium , I can't drink plain water so I will have to be careful with the squash and cut sugar elsewhere .

I take lithium . I came to like water after a while.I drink ap prox 1 litre a day plain, We keep it in the fridge or add ice cubes. I got to like chilled water -refreshing. Also Water in tea or else with 70 mls of very low sugar cranberry juice
Before i was diagnosed with diabetes I used to enjoy orange juice and OJ mixed with water This was not good but of course i didn't know that then .

Volvic Touch of Fruit sugar free waters are zero carb
As are most of the supermarket own brand ones. We both enjoy those, but the sparkling versions so you can kid yourself you're drinking a glass of pop. If too fizzy, just leave the top unscrewed for a few hours .....

No problem with sugar free squash, don’t worry about what people here say about them being high carb they’re being overdramatic. If you read the label you’ll see there are low sugar ones, and you dilute them so you aren’t drinking very much. Better for the plastic situation to drink squash, or plain water with a squeeze of fresh fruit, than to drink bottles and bottles of fizzy water every day too.
