Hi folks,

Just thought I'd let you know...I've just joined the listening library, there's a small cost (?20 or ?35 per year depending on what membership you choose) but it lets you borrow audio CDs and download audiobooks (that you can put on iPods) to listen to. Here's the website: https://www.listening-books.org.uk/join-us.aspx

It's a charity aimed at disabled people who have difficulty reading, diabetes is one of the supported "disabilities", so anyone who has retinopathy would qualify to join.

It looks good, and was easy to join, and I like listening to audiobooks on my iPod when I'm out pushing the pram etc :D

Sounds good Cate, thanks for posting it. I will put the link into our Links section 🙂

Thanks for the link. There was a piece on the news a little while ago, but the listening library was slightly different. Authors went into their local libraries to talk about their lives and their books, it was very interesting.
