liraglutide

I am due to start injections of this next Thursday. I have read up on it and like everything else there are possible side effects.

Is there anybody out there who is taking it now. I would love to hear your experiences.

My diabetic doc has put about 20 people on it so far and has had good results. The main one being that over weight people (like myself), have lost a bit of weight while being on the injection.

Just bumping this thread ... sounds interesting

The name used for this used in T2 diabetes is Victoza so if you enter that name in the Search box on here, you'll find all sorts of comments about it.

@Lucyr I saw 2018 not 2008, need glasses! So it's clearly been around longer than I thought. I was interested because my GO told me the only licenced weight loss medication is Orlistat, but I see this is now available for weight loss purposes as well as diabetes itself so wondered what people's experiences were.

Thanks for this @trophywench I will have a search.
