Visit on 5 April 2018
Total cholesterol: 3.0 mmol
Trig:1.1 mmol
HDL-C: 1.5 mmol
Non HDL-C 1.5 mmol
Creatinine: 114 umol
eGFR: 55mL/min/173m2 ( whatever that means!)

Happy with that apart from the kidney results but I guess that''s to do with my age!
 
Edgar, I've been meaning to ask because you've mentioned him before - I've never heard of a Lipid Consultant before. Is he part of a 'Cardiac' team?
 
The official title is Lipid and Cardiovascular Risk Factor Clinic. I was referred there by my GP because I have Hyperlipidaemia which is inherited. When I first went there my total cholesterol figure was 13! Thankfully, it's a bit lower these days!
 
Right - that explains it more than adequately.

I know another lady who is also T2 and born with a heart valve defect, with familial hyperlipidaemia, whose lipid level is in the teens. They eventually replaced the valve a couple of years ago and having an in-depth artery scan was one of the tests she had to endure pre-op.

Not the slightest hint of placque anywhere!

And she has always been dead set against statins and still is.
