I shall be starting this drug linagliptin tomorrow has anyone tried it? Has anyone had any problems with it?

I have taken one of this family of drugs for a number of years without any side effects.

I have never had any side effects from Linagliptin.

Targets set: HbA1c <41, BP <120/79, Total cholesterol <4.0, Weight <67.9kg, 30 minutes exercise a day

Readings Aug 2019: HbA1c 57, BP 144/88, Total cholesterol 6.0, Weight 108.3kg

Readings Nov 2019: HbA1c 48, BP 125/77, Total cholesterol 5.4, Weight 100.3kg
Readings Oct 2020: HbA1c 66, BP 128/81, Total cholesterol 5.3, Weight 114.3kg
Severe kidney infection then caused weight loss but HbA1c rise
Readings Jan 2021: HbA1c 88, Weight 104.8kg
Readings Oct 2021: HbA1c 67, BP 129/80, Weight 102.0kg
Readings Mar 2022: HbA1c 60, Total cholesterol 6.1, Weight 102.3kg
Readings Dec 2022: HbA1c 69, Weight 106.3kg
Readings Mar 2023: HbA1c 53, BP 127/77 , Renal function Normal

Linaglyptin 5mg pd, Sukkarto 500mg slow release pd, Dapagliflozin 10mg pd, Amlodipine 10mg pd, Doxazosin 4mg pd, Bendrofluazide 2.5mg pd, Latanoprost 1 drop per eye pd, Fybogel once pd, Omeprazole 20mg as required, Benecol mini drink 1 pd
Exercise 2 x Aquafit a week
