I know it's only a couple of days, but if you are skirting hypo territory a lot of the time, and concerned, could you have a word with your Doc or Nurse, with a view to maybe reducing your dosage for a few days?

Alternatively, what is the restricted diet? I wonder if there could be a way of just keeping your numbers in the safe zone.

I'm absolutely not a fan of feeding medication, but sometimes, needs must, but in your shoes, if that were the case, I might go ahead and reduce to dose until after the scan, but I am absolutely NOT suggesting you crack on and be that gung-ho. Just saying how I, personally would likely handle it.

it is for a ct colonoscopy so after lunch the idea is to prepare to get the bowel clear or the scan would be pointless plus you also have to take a very strong laxative not movicol which can cause certain problems over 2 days.

there is a diet sheet to follow Friday is going to be the worse day.

last time i went through this procedure i wasn't diagnosed with diabetes and felt very shaky to say the least.

Hey Mikey, sorry to hear about the diet restrictions but keep the faith, you always inspire me with your positive attitude despite all the upheaval you’ve had in the last months, best of luck with the tests, off to find this weeks riddle now!

I've had more colonoscopies than most folk, so I'm used to the prep. The advantage of being T1 is that you always get to be first on the list and get a free butty straight after. With regard to the gliclazide I'd skip it until you are eating again. If you don't eat, you don't need your pancreas being flogged into producing insulin.
