Hiya I've only just discovered Lift glucose drinks. They are really excellent and fast acting, easy to carry if just need a little sip for a top up. I bought 12 for £15 which is really expensive. Do anybody know can I get them on NHS prescription in England?

Some people seem to get hypo treatments like these on prescription but if they’re expensive for you to buy they’re expensive to the NHS too usually. There’s loads of cheaper and tastier hypo treatments available. Do other treatments not work for you?

Yes, I have Gluco Gel (Not Lift ones) on my repeat prescription list but have never requested them as I am happy with jelly babies and I can have as much or as little as I feel I need of them from half a JB at 2-3g, if my levels just need a slight nudge, up to a full 3 JBs (15g) if it's an absolute whopper! I think it would be difficult to have such a graded response with a liquid, plus I have heard people say they taste naff.

Have you looked on eBay?
I use the Lift "Chews" which I buy in bulk from there.
I filter on "From the UK" and "Including P&P". Then make sure I check the reviews of the supplier.
I just bought a batch of 6 large tubs (50 tablets per tub) for under 15 pounds* and they arrived the next day.

I have not looked for (or tried) the drinks as I prefer something I cannot spill and can take on flights but I understand some people find liquids easier to consume.

(*Sorry, I have a US-keyboard with no GBP symbol)

Apple juice works but just found lift shots just quicker and left liquid to consume.

I'm not keen on jelly babies, I never did even before diagnosis.

Yeah I prefer liquid then chews.

Nor am I, but I regard them as medicinal, and i’m not tempted to eat them when I’m not hypo!
Exactly that for me too. I even divide them up into 2s and keep them in my test strip pots so that they also look like medication when I get them out of my bag or pocket to take.

Yes, the Lift GlucoShots are great. I get mine from the supermarket or pharmacy where they’re often on a buy 3 for the price of two offer. I keep mine for fierce drops when I need something superfast, so I don’t buy lots at a time.
