Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hi everyone
Could anyone recommend an Life insurance policy for Type 1. I am nearly 60 years old and been diagnosed type 1 for a year now. Would appreciate some advice. Thank you Kate
 
Hi @Kraftykate, welcome to the forum! I hope you are well? That's a great question and I would not have a straight recommendation for you, but I feel the wider community may be able to chime in and provide some insight. I would say, however, if you have not done it already, potentially try one of the comparison sites; this can allow you to see the scope of what is available to you. As you can no doubt imagine, prices can vary quite widely between different places.

The last time I looked for myself (which was only a brief look around to be honest) the options I looked at seemed pretty limited, and not very good value for my circumstances. There seemed to be a reasonable likelihood of paying into a policy which then did not ultimately pay out for various reasons.

I decided simply putting those contributions into savings was a better bet for me.
 
I went through a broker, mine is with ESMI and they don’t ask medical questions.
