Life insurance

Hi everyone,

I’m new to the forum but have had type 1 diabetes for 9 years now.

I’m really struggling finding anyone that will give me life insurance.

Can anyone help please?

Hi Caroline,

There is a provider that recently launched a new life insurance policy it's specifically for those with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and the underwriting procedure is based on how well you manage the condition alongside your HbA1c readings. I can't post the name on here as I don't want to be in conflict with any forum rules, however a google search for Diabetes Life Cover should yield some results.

I only know this as I'm a financial adviser and as part of continued professional development watched a webinar on the subject presented by the provider.

Thanks very much. I wasn’t aware that we couldn’t discuss things like that, I spoke to my diabetes specialist doctor and she told me to try out the forum to look for advice to see what other people have. But thank you for replying! I’ll have a look now.
