Life Insurance

I have been diabetic since 1981 and am now 42 years of age. Me and my hsband are trying to sort out life insurance for ourselves. We have managed to sort insurance out for him, but when it comes to me, I either get a 'sorry, we dont cover diabetics' or the monthly cost is too high. Does anybody know where I can get cover from for a reasonable price.
