Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
hi all, newly diagnosed with type 1 in september. Have been trying to sort out life insurance, been meaning to do it for ages, obviously due to diagnosis really struggling. Can anyone recommend a provider for diabetics. Thanks in advance.

Try asking eg Aviva or SAL (as well known international insurers) or Heath Lambert or Willis Towers Watson (both ditto Brokers) where it may be available.

Aviva and SAL for instance run all sorts of specialist schemes that they don't actually offer direct to the public, so don't be surprised if they say 'You'll need to ring whoever to access that'. And virtually all large brokers handle schemes and Life Assurance is no exception.

You should get an answer from one of em, because there is a sort-of 'bible' used in the industry which shows schemes - like who you need to contact for Rugby Clubs or Hot Air Balloons, Air Ambulance insurance, etc - and jolly useful it is too when you work for one of the Brokers that doesn't handle the insurance scheme for the transportation of penguins - or whatever your client needs this week!
