Thanks for the link Mike. Looks like fairly good advice, although I notice that the Doctor talks about calories rather than carbs - not everyone wants to lose weight, but the carbs need watching in order to get the blood sugar levels under control, so a bit of an error there I think. The dietician gives out the standard 'eat starchy carbs at every meal' advice. I think there ought to be a little bit about testing in order to learn about how foods affect your - doesn't have to be detailed, just a suggestion that people investigate the benefits.
