Life’s traumatic issues

Events with which we deal

Affect our diabetes

And the way that we can feel

Bad days, we all have them

We have to give some care

To those diabetic levels

To help us stay aware

We say goodbye to a good friend

After they slowly slipped away

Let the memories keep you stronger

On a very trying day

Take care of diabetes

It’s important that you do

Lean on one another

With diabetic balance too

Goodbye old friend, I’ll miss you

But will remember you were there

And diabetes will remind me

That I continue with my care
