Just thought I would give a few thoughts on my first week of Libre 2.
Being using since last Friday. I prepared the reader before starting, I am using both the reader and my Phone. Well I have had to charge the reader twice in the week, I usd to get at least a week out of the Libre Reader. I went to use the Libre 2 reader this morning with a test strip, and when it stopped doing its thing, it would not give a reading as it needed charging,I had not noticed it was low on battery. So for me the battery life is disappointing. Working fine.
I have had a couple of episodes of rescan in 10 mins too.

Rescan is bad news, was hoping this would be history with 2 version of libre, getting few rescans lately as where last year had none at all.

They have only happened once every couple of days following a bath then worked since.

Snap!

Battery life a little disappointing it seems. I’m going with it needs a few charges to maximise holding the charge. I put mine on on Tuesday about 8pm and it’s a1/2 charged now.

I’ve had 3 scan in 10 min messages.

I’m liking the alarms though. Although we did wonder what the intermittent beeping was late on Tuesday evening. Some figured out on waking round the lounge and finally locating it to my pocket! Jelly babies enjoyed !
The phone and reader now give the exact same value on scanning. There was the update towards the end of last year and the upto 0.5 mmol difference between the 2 at one point

on the whole I like it.

Haven’t tried the handset yet, but it!s been a bit battery hungry on my phone, which was a surprise as I’d been using Dexcom with my phone previously.

How have you found the alarms @grovesy

They make a MASSIVE difference to me vs Libre1. I’m not convinced it has been more similar to fingersticks for me (not that you can compare the two blah blah), but I am planning a bit of data-crunching to see how it has worked for me.

I checked the manual it says 4 days, it took a bit of searching. I was going to ring Abbott when I found it in the manual and I had charged it for the full 3 hours it recommends in the manual.

Alarms are fine.

Charged mine fully before 1st activation. Had to recharge twice so far. Get "error and rescan in 10 mins" fairly often, wait 20 secs and it then works OK; my perception is that the rescan occurs when the BG is mid change of direction but I could be wrong about that. I have a disfunction in my sensor, which isn't continuously talking to the reader, so don't get continuous meter readings; waiting for new sensor from Abbott.

Does anyone know if there is a smart watch that will interface with Libre 2? That would be really useful when out walking; current system of fumbling for the reader in gloved hands is not ideal!

So was 20 sec wait same on libre 1 or just 2, getting fair few of these lately & can't scan until 10mins is up. Mid range perception might be true but why are users getting more of these messages now compared to early days of device.

I have most probably had more in the last week than when using the LIbre 2 than using the Libre1.

Hi @nonethewiser, can't help with that. My Libre 2 is my first CGM device, so all new to me. It occurred to me late this afternoon that my reader doesn't connect to my sensor and perhaps it is draining the battery hunting for a sensor.
