Just received my upgrade. Low/High alarms all set. If the alarm is triggered when BG falls below the low level set when does the alarm ring again? For example, if the alarm is triggered and I don’t hear it (at night perhaps) does anyone know if it will ring again in say 5 or 10 Minutes if still below threshold or does the system only reset once BG goes above the low range set.

In my experience the alarm is pretty insistent until you have cleared it (and scanned), but as far as I can tell it is not reset to be active again until you have gone back up through the ‘alarm value’.

So if you are like me, and you have alarms set quite early to give up the chance to act to keep you above 4.0 (mine is set at 4.7) I need to ensure you take enough action so that I don’t only rise to 4.5, then double-dip into the 3s with no other alert. I need to get back up to 4.8 to ‘reset’ the alarm 🙂

I keep the reader in the top pocket of my PJs with Alarms set to vibrate as well as sound out. That does the wake up job nicely. I wouldn’t wake up if it just sounded at the bedside table, I take sleeping very seriously.
