Can I buy a libre reader, or do I need prescription for it
What is CGM capabilityI think Abbott will send you one if you contact them - say your phone is not working with the sensor - you won't have CGM Capability though I think - it only works by scanning I understand
Is this a new sensor you tried it with or one you’d already started?Just tried it and not compatible with my sensor, will bin it.
Had already started, scanned it said reader not compatible with this sensorIs this a new sensor you tried it with or one you’d already started?
I don’t think you can scan a second reader on a sensor that’s already started. You can’t start a sensor with a phone then scan it with a reader for example.Had already started, scanned it said reader not compatible with this sensor
Thank you will try when change sensorI don’t think you can scan a second reader on a sensor that’s already started. You can’t start a sensor with a phone then scan it with a reader for example.
If it’s a Chinese reader then it may be that it’s not compatible at all, but I’d wait till starting a new sensor and try again before binning it.
I ordered from another source, phone is working fine with sensor. The reason I ordered one is because before having sensor, I always switched my mobile off at bedtime as have landline. I now find that some folk message at all hours@Lucyr is right. If you are currently using a phone with the sensor you are wearing or had started it with a reader and then lost/damaged the reader, you cannot use a new reader with the current sensor, but you could use another phone to read it I believe. If you want to use the new reader, you would need to start a new sensor with it. Once you start a sensor with a phone it will not accept a reader. And you only get Flash Glucose Monitoring on a reader not Continuous transmissions to a phone although you get all the data stored and transferred to the reader provided you scan at least every 8 hours.
Did you order it from Abbott or some other source? If a different source, it may not be compatible with UK sensors, so you may have wasted your money. If your phone doesn't work with the sensors and you are prescribed Libre sensors then Abbott should supply a reader or if not Abbott then your clinic should be able to prescribe one.
You can turn off alerts for things like messaging, Facebook notifications etc at night but leave them on for say Libre.I now find that some folk message at all hours
That’s normal, if you don’t want notifying of messages then you should set your phone up appropriately. I have mine set up so that messages won’t make a noise but libre willI now find that some folk message at all hours
How do I do thatYou can turn off alerts for things like messaging, Facebook notifications etc at night but leave them on for say Libre.
You can even schedule it so you don't have to remember to turn it on and off.
Depends what phone you have. Google the phone name and model and what you want to do.How do I do that
