Hi, I have jury service coming up and as I can't take my phone into court I was wondering if I use a reader instead (which I can take into court - I checked) can I upload the info into libre view? I would rather not have the info gap if I can avoid it. How would I do that?
Many thanks everyone

Yes you can upload a reader to libreview via a laptop. You can scan on the phone to fill in any gaps and that will upload if you prefer.

How do I upload it from the reader?
If I'm using the reader my phone won't scan the sensor

Yes, your phone can be used to scan the sensor if the sensor is started with the reader but it won't get the full CGM or alarms on the phone, just the alarms on the reader. If you start a sensor with your phone then the reader will not work, but the other way around both can be used to scan.

I did not know that, thank you both so much that really helps.

Good luck with your jury service! Hope you get an interesting, but not too upsetting case and your diabetes behaves itself.

You can use a cable to plug it in and upload. If you’re not that confident with tech but are happy to start it on a reader, then hopefully as Barbara says you can scan the phone too and upload it that way. You’d need to scan at least once every 8 hours, so for example if you did it before meals, before bed and when you wake up you’d have the data filled in.

Thank you, that helps a lot. Half looking forward to it, half dreading it. Don't need tech issues, I'm not good with tech and don't have a nearby child to ask lol

Well the other way to think of it is, why does it matter if you have a gap in your libreview data? No ones going to come chasing you about it.

We can talk you through downloading the data from the reader at a later date if you do miss any 8 hour periods. The reader stores 3 months of data, so plenty of time to do that afterwards if you need to. I am a tech dinosaur which is why I use the reader instead of my phone and I can down load it to LibreView and I don't have a child to fall back on either for such things. If I can do it, it must be easy!

Hear hear to what Barbara just said - the yellow cable we use for charging the Reader battery from the mains, fits into the USB port on my laptop, to download it to Libreview.
