Libre pop socket

My latest Freestyle Libre sensor delivery contained something called a pop socket. Apart from the suggestion to stick it on my phone, there were no instructions with it. It looked a bit like a sensor and I wondered whether it was a device to turn my iPhone into a reader.
Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that it’s just a handle for the phone.

You stick it on the back of your phone then pull the top bit up so it looks like a little table. Then you can put your fingers on either side of the central stalk to grip your phone more easily... supposedly.

Rather than p**s around with stupid things like this Abbott would be far better employed trying to sort their sensor supply problem out.
