Hi, once you've activated one it should last 14 days.

A lot of us put the sensor in up to 48 hours before activating it. This seems to let it settle and gives more accurate readings. You then have 14 days once you activate it.

Does it not have more chance of falling off if you're expecting it to then stay in place for 16 days?

I think it depends on the individual. Mine are are still firmly stuck on after 14-16 days but I know that others have them fall off really easily.

I always stick a piece of micropore tape over mine, ( avoiding covering the hole in the centre) just so I don't catch the edge of it on a wayward bra strap or anything. But at the end of the two weeks, I normally have a heck of a job unsticking an edge and prising it off.

I always stick tegaderm over my sensor. I really don’t want to waste a sensor so the additional cost of about 50p per sensor is worth it. I actually find it hard to get the sensors off at the end of 14 days!!.

When I had my trial I was offered to try as was for a few days or to put a tegaderm patch over it, I opted for the tegaderm and that kept it on fine for the full 2 weeks, as everyone else has said, I then found it difficult to remove too lol x

I have a great little piece of kit for keeping Libre in place. It has an elasticated band with a plastid piece that slots over the Libre itself. They come in assorted colours and I would fully recommend them to everyone with a Libra. It fits children to adults. If you are interested in them pm me and I will give the firms name to you.

I work on lots of building sites. Lots to bump into, scaffold bricks ladders & workmen :D. They stick to me fine 😎
