Anyone use one, just wondering if they are comfortable to wear in bed. Is ebay the only place that sells them, any other recommendations with free p&p. Thanks.

Hi. Have you tried Funky Pumpers? You can order stuff VAT free if certain criteria met. I don't wear one. I use Rock Tape from above company. Good luck.

I don’t bother, I’ve never had a problem with a sensor in bed, apart from sleeping in a position that causes pressure on the sensor, which sends results haywire, usually low. That could happen whatever else you wear.

Mind you, I once slept like a log with a 24 hour Blood Pressure monitor on my arm, so I’m not really in a position to comment about the comfort of a simple armband.🙂

I will take a look, thank you.

Knocked a sensor off on a boiler cupboard door frame, reaching inside was tight and caught the damn thing coming back out.

Had the sensor reading low on Monday night, said I was in the 2's but knew I wasn't, usually if bg goes that low I'd wake up high and feel c**p, happened to be lying on the sensor side so might explain things.

Just wish someone would invent a chip that goes under the skin, something that won't get knocked. Dog was micro chipped and there was two choices, a basic chip that give the number corresponding to the owner and the other type was more advanced, with it you could read the dogs temperature without sticking a thermometer up its bum, surely its not beyond the realms of possibility to invent a chip that reads interstitial fluid. Wishful thinking perhaps.

The chip under the skin has already been developed, it’s not wishful thinking. Just Google Eversense.

One of the main barriers, as I suspected, would be the cost of having it inserted and removed.

Of course, and being able to get appointments, although they should be booked well in advance.

A libre oddity, last night went to bed at 10.30 with a bg reading of 6.7 and libre reading of 6.9, woke at 3am and scanned and reading was 8.9, nearly corrected but did a bg test and it was 6.0 so didn't bother, on waking a scan of the sensor showed a reading of 5.7 with a flat line overnight on the 6 line, so where did the 8.9 come from. This isn't the first time this has happened, wasn't lying on the sensor and was well hydrated before bed. Any ideas?

Can’t be any harder to do than the rod type of contraception?
No, but that lasts 3 years, and is available on the NHS. Paying privately every six months would add up.

Add up more than 3 months worth of Libre sensors? Get a vet to do it, it’s cheaper than chipping a dog:D

just wonder if you did go back and check the readings log to see what time it the reading did take place and which way the arrows were pointing
up.down or stable it may have been a small blip but the the difference between you blood glucose reading and the libre is very good .
sometimes mine are 1/2 points
