Hi

So using the libre 2 sensor with app on phone.

What does it mean if you get a reading of say 11 but its not showing on the daily graph line. Only when going into the logbook the reading is plotted above the line. This has been happening for a while now, so it couldn't be a faulty sensor unless they are all faulty. Is the reading at the time correct or do I go by the graph? I know my readings look a bit whack in example below but can see what is happening. ThanksScreenshot_20211114-122556.png

The Libre measures interstitial fluid, not blood, and the reading therefore lags about 15 minutes behind the 'real' blood reading. Therefore, it contains an algorithm, which tries to catch up the lag to give you a more 'real time' reading do the spot check 'swipes'. This can go awry in times of rapidly changing blood readings, as the algorithm may predict that you’re going to carry on going up, whereas in fact you’ve reached the peak and are starting to fall. (this also explains why you sometimes get a 'try again in ten minutes' message, if it gets thoroughly nonplussed, it just won’t give you a predicted reading at all).
So the graph shows the actual readings, and as you can see from your big peak, the 'spot' reading predicts a higher level than you actually reached, but the graph shows the real readings.

@Robin thank you. Makes me feel a bit better with those readings. I had a usual takeaway that I've successfully split doses the last few times but didn't go according to plan this time.
