Libre 2 - Low Level Alarm

I have upp'd my Low Level Warning to 5.0 as my hypo symptoms can be quite unpleasant with visual disturbances and a feeling of vertigo when I drop to low 3s.

Is my TIR now between 5.0 and 10 0 so does it remain between 3.9 and 10.0?

TIR is based on Settings - Report Settings which specify low and high for the range. The low level alarm is separate and does not affect this. So your range for TIR will remain as 3.9 to 10.0 if that is what you have set.

Mine is set at 4.5, but if levels are dropping fast I don't get the alarm until I have gone past it, soI might sometimes see a 4.2 with a vertical downward arrow, when the alarm goes off. 2 jelly babies will usually still turn that around for me before I hit the red though and when dropping fast like that Libre is surprisingly usually ahead of a finger prick BG for me, maybe because the drop is tailing off but Libre is still extrapolating the fast downward trend.

Quite surprising that that is an horizontal arrow and you still dropped several points below the alarm level before it triggered.

I went low again just before lunch and the alarm did not trigger. In the afternoon I lowered the Hi setting and after a Mini Magnum it triggered. Onfusing

Had it possibly lost connection Mikey when it didn't trigger the low alarm.

Glad you have your low alarms back again @MikeyBikey

Very handy to head-off low BG when levels are dropping.

Do remember that if you get an alarm at 5-and-level, it won’t sound again unless your BG goes back above 5.

So if you go 5 4.8 4.6 4.8 for an hour or two, and think no worries… you won’t get an alarm if those 4s drop into 3s. Because you already had it at 5.

I am getting alarms when it goes High (set to lower level than default) but not when Low! So puzzled!

Oh sorry! I misread your post to mean that your adjusting the high level had kicked the low alarms back into life.

If this is the app on your smartphone it may be worth completely powering off and restarting your phone. Or perhaps deleting and re-installing the app (not sure if it’s best to do that between sensors).

Hope you get the low alarms back soon!

Hello, just a thought. Could you have a “do not disturb” setting switched on & the app isn’t overriding it? Or set to override the DND?)

This solves all kind of persistent problems. You can do it mid sensor so long as you log in with the same username you started the sensor with. You do lose all your data in the app but it’s still there in libre view
