Libre 2 loosing sticky

Hi all,
I've been using the Libre 2 for almost a year now. But I've always had issues with them not sticking for long. Even after a bath/shower, no oily wash used and used the hair drier to dry area. With in a couple of days it came off. Wasting the sensor.
So I bought the adhesive patch to cover it with a cap to protect the sensor. Worked a treat majority of the time.
But a couple of days ago out the blue, my arm started to burn, right where the patch was. It got bad quickly I had to remove the sticky patch. I gently removed it using water. But it tore a layer of my skin. Also gave me loads of blisters where it didn't tare. I've now got an infection. It looks like I've suddenly become allergic to the plaster. Didn't have that before. It's causing a lot of pain in my arm. Which I'll have to go get checked out as it's not getting better, and started to weep.
So I can't use this patches anymore. So what alternatives are there? Can't even use micro pore tape as my skin just keeps tearing.
Any suggestions would be great. As I don't want to keep wasting sensors.
 
You can buy Skin Tac spray or wipes, I use the wipes and just mop my arm where the sensor is going to go with the wipe before applying the sensor. It seems to keep it on for the full two weeks.
 
Some people seem to have stickier skin than others.
Thankfully, I am one with “limpet skin” (the sensor stick like limpets to my arm).
However, at first I did experience peeling until I realised I was not placing my sensors in the best place. It is obvious that sensor do not bend but I had not expanded this theory to take into consideration where I put my sensor. I now make sure that they are not placed on a curve in my arm or a part of my arm that flexes. For me, this is high up and far round my arm. Nit quite at my shoulder (I don’t have enough fat there) and not quite in my arm pit.

My other thought is whether a strap may help you. I know @rebrascora swears by hers to keep her sensor in place.

Although I have used SkinTac in the past, I am not a fan as I don’t like adding more single-use wipes to the landfill. This is one reason why I use surgical spirit on a tissue rather than individually wrapped alcohol wipes to clean and dry my arm before applying a sensor.
 
Antihistamines, a different brand of patch, skin tac, alcohol wipes before applying sensor, non adhesive armband

Ill have to have a look at that thanks. I'll have see what ingredients are in it. I've used alcohol wipes before no good long term.

Thanks for the information. I put it in an area that doesn't "fold" lol. :D it doesn't help I get bad day and night sweats. I've used alcohol wipes in the past. But the strap sounds like a winner. I'll look into it now. Thank you
