Just a quick heads up to anyone updating to this version of iOS.

Bravely, or foolishly(?) I have just updated my XS Max iPhone to iOS 17.0.3. When it first came back after the update, LibreLink showed signal loss and would not scan, eventually giving the “Scan Error” message. I turned Bluetooth off and on which thankfully restored the CGM reading. Even rebooting the phone didn’t get the NFC scan working. However, after a few more attempts a scan worked ok so everything seems to be ok now. It seems like you need to persevere with scanning and once it does it once everything is ok.

It's shocking how these updates are such a lottery with Libre. I have gone back to using the reader because I feel it is more reliable but every time I log into LibreView to download my data from the reader it says that there is an update for my device and asks to update it and I always refuse simply because I do not trust Abbotts track record with updates. It works perfectly well as it is, so I am not risking meddling with it. I have been declining the update to the reader since the start of the year. Has anyone updated their reader (@Robin perhaps?) and found it works OK?

I haven’t had an update to the reader, as such, I’m always being asked to update the device drivers which I had to install on the laptop to so the downloads in the first place. I had a problem with that update once, in that it took ages, but ever since, it’s been really quick. This is on a 12 yr old laptop that I inherited from my son when he upgraded. The thing that annoys me is the frequency of being asked to agree to the new T’s and Cs even when it says 'this only affects Libres in Brazil' or whatever. I tell the usual lie 'I have read the Terms and Conditions' on the grounds that if you say you don’t agree to them, you’re not going to be allowed to continue.

Thanks @Robin I assumed they meant the reader when it said the "device driver".... I really am a dinosaur with tech stuff and terminology. I may consider allowing the update now that you have clarified that. It usually takes ages to download the data from my reader anyway, but I just plug it in to my PC and leave it to get on with it and then come back when it is done. I rarely use the data on LibreView to be honest because I keep track of all the data on my reader more or less daily, so I know what is going on and my stats have been very consistent over the past 3.5 years of using Libre so if anything went amiss I would spot it pretty quickly and don't really need LibreView to tell me. Obviously it is there for my consultant to see and no doubt he will be a little unhappy with the %below range as usual 🙄 but can't really complain with my consistent 90+% in range.

PS. I know what you mean about the T&C situation. I hate to tell porkies but there is no way I am wasting my life trawling through that legal gobbledegook every time they make a minor alteration somewhere in the world.
