Type 1
Hi all, I am newly diagnosed with type 1 and was very happy to have my libre 2 sensor fitted today and stop finger pricking. I set up the sensor with iPhone as readers are no longer available and I think phone would be more handy for me anyway, but the app says that alarms are unavailable and are only available when starting a sensor with the device - that is what I did though! All settings are on to allow notifications and alarms. Anyone know what has happened and if there is a way around this as would like to use the alarm function?

Thanks

Might be a silly question, did your nurse fit the sensor ? Was it definitely a libre 2 sensor as the 1’s didn’t have alarms I don’t think. Long shot but only thing I can think of. Hope you get it sorted xx

Yes, it could be a Libre 1 by mistake. I bought the wrong one on the Abbott website once as the site layout was poor.
