Abbott announced today that the FDA said users can wear the FreeStyle Libre 2 and 3 CGMs during common imaging procedures.

I’ve had X-ray & MRI with Libre 2 with no issues, last year. The techs were cool with it too.

I’m really surprised! I thought the strong magnetic field in MRI was potentially disastrous with the inbuilt battery?

I was prepared to rip mine off. But when I mentioned I had a Libre, “leave it on.” The MRI thing I was sort of in the tube with my arms hanging out holding the lip of the tunnel at the far end? I was thinking sparks might fly.
