I am looking at attaching a GPS tracker to my son's Scanner, as he has multiple conditions and has managed to lose a scanner. I am unsure if this will have any effect on the scanners ability to do its job of reading and so on. Or if anyone can give me any suggestions.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I would suggest to contact the manufacture regarding attaching the GPS.

I don't know for certain regarding the Libre reader but mobile phones have no trouble scanning a Libre sensor when they have GPS enabled. I believe Android phone need to have GPS enabled to use Bluetooth which is required for Libre 2.
So, whilst I can't be 100% certain, I can think of no reason why GPS should interfere with the NFC. I'd be tempted to try it.

Attaching a tracker to the reader will not break it.
It may affect the ability to scan but, as I mentioned above, I doubt it.
You could try holding the tracker next to the reader when you scan to check it out.
