Hi My name is Mary and I am new here I just started on levimir 2 weeks ago but dont feel like it helps I take at night and am so hungry after my shot plus sugar is high I see the doctor in another week but would like to know how others feel thank you

Welcome to the forum, Mary / robynkaren.

Has your dose of Levemir changed since you started taking it? Have you changed any other medications at the same time? It could take a few weeks to get the dose right, so perhaps worth phoning doctor before you see them next week to ask about adjusting dose.

Hi there Mary. Welcome to the forum.🙂

Welcome to the forum Mary 🙂

Hi Mary

Welcome on board 🙂. As Copepod says basal insulin (levemir) can take some time to get right, I use a different insulin but it took a good few months to get mine right. I don't expect it will take you that long because you'll still have some insulin of your own floating about but speaking to your doctor or nurse is a great idea since it might need to be adjusted. Hang in there, hopefully you'll feel better very soon 🙂
