Recently I received a letter from NHS warning about medical concerns over Canagliflozin. This has been followed up by a letter from my GP stating he is changing me over to Dapagliflozin, which he says has more beneficial effects for the heart and kidneys but just as effective for diabetes.
Just had my 3 month review and renal function is still normal - no sign of the recurrence of the kidney problems of 2021. But I've slipped a bit with my HbA1c, which is totally my fault, so I must do better! I'm off on holiday next weekend and have chosen to go self catering. My suitcase will contain low carb items for breakfast and lunch, but I will eat out in the evening. Lots of salads and seafood I expect.

Hope you get on well with the medication switch @Felinia

Good to hear your kidneys are in good shape 🙂

Have a lovely time on holiday - sounds like you’ve got the catering sorted :D
