As usual, differing opinions on what can and cannot be consumed. Keto sites state kidney beans, pulses, chick peas, etc must be avoided, while low carb recipes on here use such things.
Help!!

I believe Keto and Low Carb are not quite the same thing. Low Carb has no recognised definition, most regard anything under 130 grams a day but some go much lower.

I believe that there are differences in how people digest legumes, - I always react as though there are twice the listed amounts - there is nothing better than testing your blood glucose to ascertain just what you can and can't eat and still keep your BG under control.

My digestive system is like @Drummer's.... very efficient at finding carbs in any food and breaking them down into glucose pretty pronto, so I have to go very steady on beans, pulses and lentils. A BG meter will show you how your body responds to them but they are quite high in carbs if your digestive system is capable of breaking them down. Keto avoids them because they are carb rich. The dietary advice here on the Diabetes UK site is not advocated by some of the members of this forum, myself being one of them. The site is run by a charity organisation, the forum is hosted by the charity but the advice and experience shared is from people who live with diabetes. Personally, I don't find the dietary advice on the Diabetes UK website helpful. My BG meter tells me what works for me.
