The diabetes psychologist at guys ( who I was actually kind of getting on with), just up and left, which I didn't know till I got there for an appointment with her.
No contingency plan, nothing to help me, was just told another one might be appointed " in the future".
That was 7 months ago and still nothing.
I know they just don't care,so why should I.
Anyone else been treated like this? Or is it me

Ah that’s really tough for you @spell

Same happened when one of my kids was seeing a MH worker as part of CAMHS. The person they got on with, and who was helping left, and their work was picked up by someone ‘more senior’ in the team, who didn’t work out at all.

Can you try IAPT to look for other provision near you? You should be able to self-refer.

I've been trying for ages but no one who specialises in type I, and no one will do face to face ‍♂️

It’s a really stretched service :(

And specialists who are familiar with T1 are still pretty rare unfortunately. Guys is a pretty well respected Hospital though. Do they work with / refer to other centres like Kings? There are some good people there.

The two specialist at guys covered a multitude of hospitals I think,I was not offered anything even at other London hospitals.
Disappointing and careless.
This option should be a given and not something you have to hunt down which just raises stress levels to red line

I’ve never had any psych support for my diabetes in over 30 years. :(
