Leicester's hospitals running insulin safety week

Leicester's hospitals are running an insulin safety week, starting today.

The diabetes service, which covers all three city hospitals, will be holding roadshows at each site.

Staff from the in-patient diabetes team will be on hand to answer questions.

There will also be a chance to suggest changes which would improve the safe use of insulin.

I think it should be compulsory for all in-patient staff involved in treating diabetics (I don't mean on specialist wards, I mean everywhere in the hospital(s) )

Too many prescribing and delivery errors - everywhere.
