AN NHS campaign which aims to spread positivity across Leeds has seen more than 1,000 people sending thank you messages.
The messages of thanks started from December 6 2018 when NHS campaign The Big Thank You was launched.

The Big Thank You campaign, which was created with Leeds NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, aims to spread positivity across Leeds by encouraging the public to say thanks to someone who has helped them during winter.

So far, the people of Leeds have thanked everyone from NHS staff, friends and family to neighbours and work colleagues and even strangers.

Having sat in my GPs waiting room listening to a lady saying to the person she was with that the designated GP whoever was waiting to see in complaint that she was running late that 'it just wasn't good enough' - I had to wonder exactly what would be good enough?

It’s the Curates Egg situation, the folk who’ve had excellent service say thank you, those who haven’t don’t.

I'm also bemused by the definition of "good" service.

Two doctors......

The first is a grumpy old git always running late in a run down surgery with an obnoxious receptionist who never answers the phone, who accurately diagnoses your condition and prescribes effective treatment. The second is a polite young thing with superb bedside manner in a modern surgery with musac, comfy chairs, lovely receptionists who has to look continually at their computer screen to try and get some idea of what your problem is and how to treat it.

Who gives the better service?

Their love child? 😱 🙂

These days sadly I think a lot of people just like complaining about anything they can think of to complain about, and don't even look for the good things :(
