Well......my son is definitely injecting the Humilin 3, walked in on him 2 days ago whilst he was doing it, so have witness that's going in, BUT as far as I can tell he is not bothering with the teatime Novorapid. I presume he is still doing his Lantus, as that's the one that was never an issue with him, so like to think he is carrying on with that as usual.
As for testing - zilch! Last reading noted on his monitor on 17th November! DSN is ringing on 3rd Jan for some figures - will drop that back into conversation today. He doesn't know I have sneaked a look at his monitor. In fact he did lie to me a few days ago about a reading knowing what I do now! At least some insulin is going in, I guess that's progress.
The chocolates have proved the nightmare I thought they would, we hid the first tin (other tins well and truly hidden - he doesn't even know they exist) and I opened the tin and dished out 4 each at a mealtime before Christmas Day, did the same the next day, found the tin Monday morning almost empty (barring the Bounties) and yes, he's still standing and functioning - don't quite know how.
Tomorrow is our first Diaversary. I guess we have come a long way in a year, a pretty bumpy ride, but we're still smiling! Just wait and see what the next few days bring, got New Year and his birthday coming up this next week, so yet more food issues. Oh well, we survived it last year so I'm sure we will again.
Thanks everyone for your help, support and friendship this past year, I don't know where I would have been without you all.
