For anybody who is currently on lantus or those who've been on lantus previously, have you ever split your dose to morning and night and if so what if any changes did you see?

I currently take lantus at 10.00pm.

I'm currently going to bed with higher BS then waking up to hypos. Also quite often BS seem to go higher as the day goes on, apart from today, bloomin D! (take a look at any of my recent threads re BS)

Also have spoken over the phone today with my DSN who has advised to give splitting a try If I would like to.

Was previously on lantus but it didn't suit me well at all. Used to get alot of hypos and muscle spasms erratically through the day. I did try splitting it but made things worse. Was then put on levemir instead and have been alot steadier since with no muscle spasms. You could.try splitting out to see what effect it has on you. What readings are you normally before bed though?
