So after a year of being in pain since tearing my meniscus, I bit the bullet yesterday and got a steroid/hyaluronic acid injection in my knee. Boy it hurt when he stuck the needle in. He also aspirated 21ml of liquid, so the knee immediately felt less tight. I’ve been a bit zonked out and I’ve had to increase my insulin to cover the blood sugar rise. But definitely less pain today, and hopefully there will be more improvement over the next few days. The steroid should bring down the inflammation and discomfort after the first few days. The hyaluronic acid coats the bone joints and can last for up to a year. So everything crossed. That’s what came out of my knee
