Haha! If you've ever been a bit flummoxed about what the Daily Mail says is good for you and what is bad, then here's an A-Z guide to all their claims! :D Would be great if they did a diabetes version.

I've just tried the link and I get the message...

The page you were looking for doesn't exist.

You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved.

Maybe it was hosted by "The News of the World" 🙄

Ta.

My parents read the DM and always claim to be able to discern between sensationalism and fact, but I do wonder sometimes.

If they were that discerning, would they really be taking ANY notice of it ? 🙄

I've not got to I yet but I just bet they claim that insulin causes cancer. 😱

One of the sections is "Artificial light causes cancer" referring to fluorescent light.

Given that we're all required by law to switch to low energy bulbs, if true this means that we're all doomed! DOOMED! :D

They don't, but they claim that iron prevents cancer -- which will be news to the nutcase who (last time I looked) was regularly spamming the diabetes newsgroups with his claim that "dietary iron is the cause of all health problems" (he's clearly never heard of anaemia) and that therefore we "must" all go vegetarian. No thanks -- vegetarianism causes problems of its own, such as anaemia, toothbrush mustache, genocidal tendencies and invasion of Poland. :D

Only those who abuse the power of vegetarianism though, it must be said - there have been many vegetarians throughout history who have used its power for good 😉

And, of course, there would be a great deal more problems with a purely carnivorous diet (unless you're a zombie 😱).

I'll lay of the spinach and rhubarb as well then (vegetable sources of iron)? :D

Andy 🙂
