Kidderminster Tesco raises cash for diabetes charity

MORE than ?1,000 was raised for Diabetes UK through Kidderminster?s town centre store.

Members of the local community joined together to raise ?1,039.01 for the cause as 27 volunteers collected donations as part of the Big Collection weekend, a nationwide fund-raising event for the charity.

The Big Collection weekend took place from October 4 to 6 throughout the UK, with 7,000 volunteers taking part at more than 500 Tesco stores.

Hee Hee - I was heartened to see there was a woman dressed as a witch in our local Tesco one day last week, rattling a DUK bucket whilst manning the self-service checkout! The girl on our till said she's a supervisor and been doing it every payday, because she loves dressing up!

Clearly, we haven't been in on their payday before, this year.
