AN ?INSPIRATIONAL? Kidderminster stalwart who has championed diabetes causes has been honoured with the town?s first civic award.
Fred Holland, 75, chairman of Wyre Forest Diabetes UK voluntary group, was recognised for his charitable work since moving to the town in 1960, which has included raising more than ?150,000 for childrens and hospital groups.
The award, launched by Kidderminster Charter Trustees, was presented by former Mayor Anne Hingley at a ceremony in Kidderminster Hospital?s diabetes centre.
