I bought some test strips and over the last week i have been testing myself 3 times a day, the results on the test strip which turns pink and has a reading of 0.5 i have no idea what this means, should i be worried?

As far as I am aware that is a very low level and is normal. I'll see if I vpcan find out more.

Not sure what the units might be or whether these are blood strips or urine strips @Ingressus?

Have a look at the leaflet inside the box Simon. Somewhere buried deep within the teeny tiny writing there should be a guide as to what the results represent.

Hope you can find it OK!

Hi again. As your testing for keytones, I assume you're not well?.
How are your BGs

The only thing I could find in a quick search about keytones is for T1s

Hope it helps.
I have had high bg and had my insulin upped by eight clicks but dont really feel unwell unless im used to feeling like this, i just heard about keytones and bought some strips on the off chance, i have read the leflet dosnt tell me much that i can understand anyway

Are you testing BLOOD or URINE for ketones?!?

ketones by themselves are not a problem, and are to be expected if you are eating low carb to help control blood glucose.
The dangerous situation is to have high blood glucose and high ketones together.
