There are some real successes nationally...

In last 15 months people on GPs diabetic register on average:

  • 95% had their kidney function tested
  • 93% of those who smoked had smoking cessation advice
  • 92% had their Weight (BMI) recorded

...and locally

For example Tower Hamlets CCG has the best indices of diabetes care of any CCG in the country across a range of measures, with 27.8% of people with diabetes achieving all 3 treatment targets and 77.6% receiving all 8 care processes.

Nowhere has it completely right

In last 15 months people on GPs diabetic register on average

  • 60% had All 8 regular check-ups advised by NICE
  • 60% had Good blood sugar control
  • ONLY 21% met all 3 treatment targets average (best is 28%)
