Been reading about taking ketones/ketone drink as a weight loss thing and that it can help diabetics... has anyone else read up on this? What are the thoughts?
Thank you 🙂

My thoughts are that it may be OK for non-diabetics, or non-insulin dependent diabetics, but a risky prospect for people using insulin. I made a couple of comments here.

Not everything you consume reaches the bloodstream unchanged - hence having to inject insulin rather than swallow it. I'd want to know what the digestive process does to ketones before even thinking about drinking them. Nail polish remover, anyone (hic)?

Hmm.. see to me it sounds like a bad idea - especially since I've had DKA a few times... but it seems to think it's ok if levels controlled... all very confusing really and worrying if someone who doesn't know anything about ketones etc but is diabetic and starts taking it without checking!!
