I'm not entirely sure this is in the right area of the forum, but hopefully it's ok.
Hi,
I have read so much since being diagnosed I think I am finally getting to grips with things.
I'm struggling however to find out about ketones regarding diet and diabetes.
On the one hand I've read that ketones in the blood is a bad thing, ( and I beleive how they determine that you are T1 or T2) on the other it seems a lot of people have had succes in putting the big D into remission by following a keto diet and thus going into a state of ketosis and presumable producing ketones!
Can anyone explain?
Thanks
Cheers
Nick

Hi Nick,

Welcome to Diabetes UK.
I notice you posed the same question on another forum.
Can you elaborate on what was not covered in this article that was referenced in response there?

Hi, Sorry. I think I had my settings wrong. I didn't realkise that anyone had replied to the post on the other site.
Yes, it answers it perfectly.
Thank you.
