The CEO of Kelloggs has suggested that cereals make a good alternative for lunch and dinner! Just watch your BG if you have Sugar Puffs for breakfast, Cornflakes for lunch and Rice Crispies for supper. I think in current forum parlance he is a Pillock First Class!

The diet of students.
Evening meal was often cereal straight out of the box by the handful. Less (no) washing up that way.

Maybe not ideal for those of us with sub-par pancreas but I have been intrigued by this concept of different types of food at different times of the day, I sometimes have a fry up for evening meal so why not cereal? In India, I have had curry for breakfast so why not have something like a salad in the UK?

At nearly 70 I don't think I have eaten a bowl of cereal at any other meal than breakfast. Even then not for a number of years.

I never ate cereal for supper (bedtime snack certainly) but a fry-up can be used for any meal of the day, including morning coffee and afternoon tea. True versatility.

I fear though, despite the addition of a slightly toasted tomato, that some sort of swapping should be happening rather than it simply becoming a single meal diet (same with the cereal.)

I’d happily eat cereal for breakfast, lunch, evening meal and a couple of snacks too! I know lots of people who have a bowl for supper (ie bedtime snack).

I do enjoy a bowl of any cereal actually. But this is ridiculous on so many levels that I am not even going into it.

They were a little odd. Keen on vegetarianism, celibacy and eugenics. Possibly in that order!

Gonna guess that he means only Kelloggs & no other cereal will do.

Remember many years ago on fixed doses had to eat supper before bed, would often have cereal so was time where I'd eat it twice daily.

I thought this was just me on the snack before bed. I wasn’t even hungry due to tea. Then find myself an “orange” result in the test tube, come morning. 😛
