Has anyone been watching this excellent series? I'm surprised no-one has mentioned it (including me!). Cameras the length and breadth of the country recording what went on in the NHS on October 18th last year (which happens to be my birthday!).

Well worth a look, on tonight at 9pm, BBC2. Episode 6 of 8.

Yes I've seen a couple, and am watching now. Bit of an eye-opener some of the clips, and others really quite moving. We're so lucky to have the NHS, despite its imperfections.

My Mum's birthday is 18th Oct 🙂

Ooh! All the best people are born on October 18th! 🙂 When I went to Uni there were 8 people on my Russian course. One was a girl who had the same surname as me...and was born on October 18th! 😱

What are the chances of that?!!

Sweet moment just now on the NHS prog. New little baby, not 3 minutes old and he's already cost the NHS ?2k bless him 🙂

Great series - gives a real feel for the huge diversity of things that the NHS handles. 🙂

Quick reminder that the last in this excellent series is just starting! 🙂 BBC2

Oh my...harrowing stuff tonight!

Missed this series, 24 hours in A&E on C4 on is a must see, its on Wed nights at 9pm.

So so glad that little baby Kyran made it! Bless him, such a lovely happy little chap...hope to goodness he continues well & doesn't need any more ops! Thank God for peadiatric medical teams - not a job I could do! 😱

Off to tiptoe into the kids' rooms & kiss them goodnight now...so glad they haven't had to go through that kind of thing!! 😱

He was such a happy little soul wasn't he? It never fails to amaze me that people can perform such operations, surgeons are definitely a breed apart.
